Freshwater Pearls: It's origin starts around 11th century in China, which was offered to the Emperors as tribute, and to the noble families at the time. The current Cultured Pearls technique was founded in 1907 used in Akoya Pearls, South Sea Pearls and Tahiti Peards, till this day. In these cases a round shape bead like nucleus is imbedded in the shell (4.00mm to 10.00mm round bead made of shells) Thus in matter of one year to two years the nacre wraps the nucleus to form a pearl, with the pearl thickness amounting to 1.00mm to 2.00mm only. In the case of the freshwater small tissue slices from other oysters, and clam meatsare inserted to yield the pearls. the freshwater pearls forms a nacre around thesealien tissues to protect itself, and thus forms a pearl. In this aspect a round pearl from a freshwater pearl is very rare. If we were to compare two different pearls, a seawater pearl has only 10% of its surface covered with Pearl Nacre, whilst the freshwater yields its nacre around the tissues, and thus averages over 99.9% in Pearl Nacre. A fresh water pearl to form a 9.0mm pearl will take about four years, and anything over 10mm is five to seven years. The colors of the freshwater pearls are orange, lavender pink, and whte and all these are from its Natural Colors.
